Trailblazer Dismissal Update & School Messenger Delay

Parents,
Thank you for your assistance in our dismissal procedures today.  All buses have left campus. Our last bus, Rt. 6 left campus shortly after 12:30 p.m.  It has been reported that Route 401 is heavy with traffic and cars are moving at a slow rate.  I anticipate Route 6 to be late because of traffic as well.

Also, I am receiving your calls and emails regarding the timing of the school messengers over the past week.  It has been reported to me that our "School Messenger" system is receiving a high volume of calls and is processing calls as quickly as possible.   I have also received information that some of my calls are "incomplete", meaning that some Trailblazer parents are getting the calls while others are not.  This is also due to the high call volume.  I apologize for this inconvenience that this may have caused you. Please refer to the news media as the primary source of information regarding school delays, early release due to inclement weather or emergency closings.  School messengers are not meant to be the primary method of communication for these types of  incidents.  I send out school messengers so that you can hear from me the information from the district.  Additionally, please make sure we have your most updated cell phone and house phone numbers.  The School Messenger system only calls the numbers we have listed in the system.  We want to be sure we can get you at the right phone number.  If you need to make changes to your information here, please call the front desk at 919-890-7333.
